Sierra Cantabria Mágico 2016 is a new Rioja red wine from Bodegas Sierra Cantabria, a new release that really is the pride of the family Eguren.
It is a very especial wine, produced using grapes from a vineyard planted between 1905 and 1907! in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, at an altitude of approximately 700 meters. Apart from the vineyards, the coupage is rather 'magical', it was accomplished using Tempranillo and Grenache, supplemented with a small percentage of different red and white grape varieties.
The production is limited to only 2,000 bottles and, at this moment, it's only available for sale 'en Primeur', meaning it can be bought now but it will be delivered by mid-2019, the projected release date. Considering that, by that time, its price will be around 500€, it's well worth taking advantage now of this opportunity!
