El Puntido is exclusively made from the Tempranillo grape variety.
Grapes from the terroir El Puntido, planted in 1975, espalier trained, at 600 metres of altitude, on soils with a clay-calcareous composition.
Manual harvest and selection of the grapes.
Pre-fermentation maceration at 6°C for 5 days with soft pumping over.
8-10 Day fermentation at 29-31°C with 2 or 3 daily and post-fermentation with pumping over 3 for 8 days.
Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels and in contact with fine Lees for 6 months.
Aged for 16 months in new Bordeaux oak barrels.
