The Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2007 is elaborated with Cabernet Sauvignon (90%) and Merlot (10%).
In 2007, the effects of the average climatic conditions had to be compensated. This was done by well-planned manual interventions in the vineyard, namely leaf pulling and crop thinning in July, and a second session of leaf pulling in August. Each and every one of the million vines of the estate benefitted from the greatest care. They wanted to make the most of the benefits of the climate, while efficiently countering the adverse effects of the pests and diseases that threatened the vineyard.
This wine will be aged for 18 months in Bordeaux barrels, 90% of which are new, the rest being one harvest old.
